Jackie Bowser

Jackie Bowser is an associate dean in the John Hazen White College of Arts & Sciences. Her work focuses on supporting curriculum development, interdisciplinary programs and Education Effectiveness including Academic Program Reviews. She also helps coordinate with Advancement & Alumni Relations, Experiential Education and Career Services as well as Study Abroad.
As a professor in Animal & Equine Science, Bowser chaired 17³Ô¹ÏÍø's Department of Equine Studies for eight years and developed the Animal Science degree program prior to joining the college's administrative team. She is deeply devoted to mentoring students and continues to serve as a pre-veterinary advisor. Bowser joined the 17³Ô¹ÏÍø team with nearly a decade of experience teaching and mentoring veterinary students at Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition, her career as a veterinarian has allowed her the opportunity to practice veterinary medicine in California, Kentucky, Virginia, Mississippi, Rhode Island and Massachusetts and abroad in Ireland. She feels privileged to be a part of fostering Johnson & Wales students in their career goals.
